The most beautiful cover I’ve seen, the information? Not so much... very disappointed. Most of the recipes are melt and Pour.... I’ve found better information on this topic on the internet.There are quite a few errors in the book and some recipes are missing quantities which was extremely disappointing for me, the one recipe I was interested in, didn’t show how many ounces of oil you have to use. Save your money people. I’m returning mine with a heavy heart. If you're tired of paying big bucks for medicated soaps and want to try making your own soaps at home, this book provides a great introduction to the process. In this book, Sandra Winfield provides information on many different topics. She starts by talking about different skin care routines, why skin type matters and how to test it, and different things that can harm your skin. Next she discusses how to treat different skin problems like acne, blemishes, and scars. The next section talks about the different ingredients used in soaps, including different oils and fats and how they affect soap recipes, natural ingredients used to color soap, and herbs used in soaps. Then she provides information on two common store-bought soaps. Finally, the last section contains recipes for different types of soaps, like anti-bacterial soap, anti-septic soaps, oil-fighting soap, soap used for sensitive skin, and anti-cellulite soaps. The last recipe she provides isn't for soap at all, but for an anti-aging eye cream.Overall I thought this book was well-written and provided a good overview of how to make natural soaps. At first I thought she provided too much information about the different ingredients, but I understand it's necessary for people who want to try making their own soaps instead of following a recipe.
